I'm Tina- a surface pattern designer and weaver based in North Carolina, working under the name Morse Creative. As an artist who works in multiple mediums, there isn't one way I like to create.

As a weaver, I generally begin by sourcing patterns on the computer, and once I find one that makes my mind hum, I update and iterate on it until it's something I want to create over and over again. I iterate on colors, structure, and explore the possibilities of where I can take the pattern. Sometimes where I started looks nothing like where I ended, and that's usually the most exciting of pieces. My work is tactile and useful, and often for the home. I weave towels, table runners, and sometimes rugs, and turn the leftover woven fabric into one of a kind frames, perfect for displaying your one of a kind memories.

As a surface pattern designer, I love to make two-dimensional designs and flowers, and sometimes incorporate my handwoven weavings directly into my patterns. I like to flood these creations with color. They are then used for fabric, wallpaper, and home goods. Whether it's handwoven or created on the computer, the goal is the same: bring a little more joy to everyday things.
